BROOKLYN - The Northeast District Department of Health is offering free radon detection kits, while supplies last, at the NDDH office located at 69 South Main Street in Brooklyn, CT. Homeowners only need to test the lowest level of the home that is used on a regular basis. Limit two kits per person who may own multiple residences. Testing instructions for Air Chek devices distributed by NDDH can be found here. Residents can also check their results online at the Air Chek website. The kits are being offered in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Public Health as part of National Radon Action Month. Learn more about radon here.
