Employee Benefits

The Northeast District Department of Health is committed to sponsoring a comprehensive benefits program for all eligible employees. In addition to salary, employees may be eligible to receive other benefits.

Eligibility for Benefits

Regular full-time employees will receive all benefits described in the NDDH Employee Manual as soon as eligibility requirements for each particular benefit are met. Coverage is available to employees and their dependents as defined in the benefit summary plan descriptions.

Part-time employees receive only those benefits specifically required by law or as granted on occasion, provided that the employees meet the minimum requirements set forth by law and in the benefit plan.

Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits.

Grant-funded employees are eligible for grant-funded benefits.

No benefits are available during the Introductory Period, except as otherwise stated or provided by law or collective bargaining agreement. However, following satisfactory completion of the Introductory Period, employee benefits shall accrue from the date of initial employment and the Introductory Period shall be credited toward length of service.

  • Retirement Plan
  • Paid Leaves, including Holidays, Vacation, Sick and Personal
