Employee Benefits
The Northeast District Department of Health is committed to
sponsoring a comprehensive benefits program for all eligible
employees. In addition to salary, employees may be eligible
to receive other benefits.
Eligibility for Benefits
Regular full-time employees will receive all benefits described
in the NDDH Employee Manual as soon as eligibility requirements
for each particular benefit are met. Coverage is available
to employees and their dependents as defined in the benefit
summary plan descriptions.
Part-time employees receive
only those benefits specifically required by law or
as granted on occasion, provided that the employees meet the
minimum requirements set forth by law and in the benefit plan.
Temporary employees are not eligible for benefits.
Grant-funded employees are eligible for grant-funded benefits.
No benefits are available during the Introductory Period,
except as otherwise stated or provided by law or collective
bargaining agreement. However, following satisfactory completion
of the Introductory Period, employee benefits shall accrue
from the date of initial employment and the Introductory Period
shall be credited toward length of service.
